Great post!!! I loveeeeeeee it!! as dave ramsey would say. I have been a dave-o-holic since jan 25th of this year and I know exactly what you mean about having control and being relaxed now that YOU manage your money and cut up those cards. My blog (with a few exceptions) are now dedicated to my dave life and how the program is life changing over all. Its been soo great to know that in 2 years or less my who future will be changed by the program and im 25 and it feels sooo good!!!

good luck

Great post! I still update my cash flow documents almost daily, but it's a habit I've been in for most of my life. I also completely agree with the 3 ways you feel - relaxed, in control, and having hope. That's exactly how I feel - you said it so well!

I also work a full-time career job, where sometimes I need to work late or even go on business trips. About a year or so ago, I decided to try and bring in extra income with a side job - working at Safeway late at night stocking shelves. Truth be known, my health declined as I wasn't getting enough sleep - and being in the tax bracket I'm at - well, the minimum wage job didn't really help that much. So being a web developer, I've resorted to the occasional freelance job which helps a little. I'm not saying that a second job isn't a good idea - it is for many people - but I think it has to be balanced according to your life.

Sounds like you are on the right track. We had our plasectomy last July. We paid off $11,000 in student loans in 4 months and then saved another $16,000 in 5 months. It feel so great to be debt free. You won't regret it!
