I agree with all of you! I have to say the only things I've regretted buying in the past year is some grocery items that somehow were not eaten before they passed their prime. But, all in all, I'd say that's pretty darn good!

@Esther - Indeed... Although I would argue that you've always been a control-freak, it just has changed how it has manifested itself over time. For example, when we were kids, you were crazy into how many books you read and grades, etc. where as now that we're adults, you're obsessed about your kitchen cleanliness and how the baby is diapered. When we're old, you might find yourself completely over-the-top on how clean your dentures are and the afghans you're knitting.

How would you describe the personality that USED to be the most chaotic, unorganized, messy person of all time and then morphed into the most organized, control-freak (of household matters), neat person of all time. From one extreme to the other, aka "Esther". ??

@Joanna - Great story! I know that I honestly can't think of one thing I haven't bought in the last 9 months that I regret. One reason that this is cool I think is because when you hold back and then later find something so cool like you did, it's like Christmas! Way to stay on-track.

Go debt-kicking!

I wanted to add my little debt kicker for the day...instead of buying a new or expensive slip cover for my arm chair that Harper has claimed as his own (or reupholstering it as I really wanted to do) or charging it on a credit card as I may have done in the past, i hunted around for a good 3 weeks searching for an alternative to going into debt just to fix a smelly chair. Today I found the answer, I socked away some extra cash from last month's budget specifically for this purpose and today I found a pottery barn cover on ebay for a FRACTION of the price of a new one, either a new PT one or a cheaper quality Walmart one. Yah! Patience in the debt game really does pay off.
